Really good BBQ. Even at the busiest time of day, the line is quick, and can find a place to sit. Portions are fairly generous, served with jalapeno bread. This is a good go to place for some good BBQ. MENU
Unarguably the best Indian food in west part of Houston. A huge variety of dishes and that too never compromising in taste. I looooved their rotis, soft and light. The place boasts a fully vegetarian menu. This is a great place to eat Gujarati food, which is sweeter than other Indian cuisines. The food is always fresh and hot. The buffet is a bargain compared to other places. The menu changes daily.
This is heaven for tea-lovers like me! They have gazillions of tea options and you can smell them all to see what you might like. You get to pick your own tea mug, and they are all unique. The service is always outstanding, and it's a small, quiet place that is perfect if you are looking to relax, read, or talk quietly with a friend. If you are hungry, you can order food from the restaurant next door or enjoy the wonderful baked goods served at Path of Tea.
Tucked away on the corner of Woodhead and Fairview, Té House of Tea boasts over 130 different teas and a myriad of interesting dishes from Panini to Korean Barbecue. Theyserve a variety of high quality teas, with a focus on small farms and fair trade plantations. They are vegan- and vegetarian-friendly, and are developing more gluten-free items as well! MENU
Excellent selection of whole bean and ground coffees on hand and coffee brewing supplies, coffee mugs, etc. for the coffee connoisseur. The staff is both knowledgeable regarding all things coffee and courteous too. These guys have been around for 40+ years, so it's safe to say they know what they're doing! The owners are so sweet and personal.
Coffee is delicious with a good selection of pastries. Th ambiance is casual and relaxed. Some of the best slow bar coffee in Houston. Good coffee and knowledgable staff. No wifi is kind of a problem, but I guess it keeps people from spending the entire day here. The coffee and espresso here are top quality.
Quite good iced coffee and a relaxed vibe inside. A welcome retreat. Boomtown roasts its own beans, so everything is remarkably rich and smooth, as it should be. Plenty of coffee and espresso options with a variety of flavors. Also has breakfast food options and pastries. MENU
Ruggles is one of those restaurants offering healthy options and locally-grown fare, which explains why it's a tad pricey for what you get (worth every penny). Ruggles is one of those restaurants offering healthy options and locally-grown fare, which explains why it's a tad pricey for what you get (worth every penny). A great menu that has a lot of healthier items and can make a lot of the menu selections gluten-free? Awesome. MENU
Great coffee made with the beans that they roast in-house. You can't get any better than that. Everything they make blows Starbucks away. This is a great place to go and sit and visit over a cup of coffee. They help support the community and also offer more than just coffee. Texas crafted chocolate and local honey!
This is an adorable coffee shop filled with an eclectic selection of vintage furniture and decor. The atmosphere is low-key and calm. Great vegan food options, and a welcoming environment. The atmosphere inside is chill and well lit up with sunshine and gives a relaxing feeling with vintage settings and furniture. MENU
The coffee here is a unique flavor, again in a good way. The coffee has a nice balance of acidity to nuttiness. They make anything that you could possibly want and it feels like they know everything about coffee. This is a very quaint little coffee shop. The baristas are very knowledgeable of coffee and everything that has to do with coffee!
Cute hipster place and atmosphere. Everything from the furniture to the music. Parking was a bit tough to find, but it's pretty normal in the heights area. Lovely coffee, teas, wines, usually fresh juice from Juice Girl, and also some vegan delicacies. Solid coffee, fast internet, nice staff, and clean. Great spot.
Friendly barista, free wifi, comfy seating, laid back, the patrons are nice. Excellent cafe mocha! Cool local spot that's off the beaten path. Great low key vibe. But always packed so you might have to wait awhile to grab a seat. Parking can be a problem.
Pondicheri is one of our favorite Houston restaurants, whether we want an impromtu casual dinner for two, or want to impress friends and family from out of town. The food is consistently delicious and generously portion, and the service staff clearly takes pride in their knowledge of the menu and eagerness to please. This place is a good consistent indian fusion restaurant with a flare for healthy selections ie. gluten free, fresh fruits , portlandia vibe. MENU
